Starting September 24 and running for nine weeks, this Season introduces 30 unique Experiences from more than 24 brands. Players can unlock their share of SAND rewards, discover and earn 50 new NFTs, and so much more! Plus, play to earn a portion of the 250,000 SAND pool with the Premium Pass!

1. Welcome to Alpha Season 6 

Grab the remote and tune in, Alpha Season 6 is about to premiere! 

Channel surf your way through nine weeks of nonstop action, surprise twists, and epic quests. Rack up Ethos Points (EP), climb the leaderboard, and unlock new weekly rewards.
Call your co-stars and get ready for prime-time multiplayer fun!

Your Alpha Season 6 binge begins on September 24.

1a. Featuring Cirque du Soleil

This Alpha Season, Cirque du Soleil takes center stage! 

Cirque du Soleil’s signature blend of artistry, spectacle, and creativity will shine through every corner of the Season, delivering unforgettable moments throughout The Sandbox Metaverse! With two new Experiences showcasing fresh Abilities and limited-edition Mannequin Avatars that transform into eye-catching Cirque-inspired costumes, this Alpha Season brings out the performer in all of us.

Like the Jurassic World Dinosaur Eggs in Alpha Season 5, the Cirque du Soleil Mannequins grant massive bonuses when transformed by completing quests in the Cirque du Soleil Experiences. Unlike Alpha Season 5, however, the Cirque du Soleil Mannequin Avatars will be fully playable both before and after they are transformed!

Be sure to get yours on Monday ahead of Alpha Season 6 to get a leg up on the competition.

1b. The Alpha Season 6 Hub

Redesigned from the ground up, the Alpha Season 6 Hub is more open, intuitive, and rewarding. 

• Nine Partner Pavilions accessible using Partner Passes (each unlocking 4 SAND)
• Four LAND Owner Pavilions featuring exclusive SAND rewards unlocked via the LAND Owner Community Goal
• Quests to teach you how to use the new Dash and Glide Abilities
• Social areas, tutorial zones, and daily activations

1c. New Abilities

With the release of Game Maker 0.12, we’re continuing to improve character controls, animations, and camera effects. In addition to Fly, Double Jump, and Air Dance, which were implemented in 0.11, we’ve added two new Abilities: Dash and Glide. These Abilities give players smoother, more dynamic control, enhancing parkour, exploration, and speed-based gameplay.

Abilities are introduced through quests in the Alpha Season 6 Hub and tutorials at the beginning of the season. This season, 19 experiences will use at least one Ability, and 12 are designed specifically around them.

2. Alpha Season 6 Progression

2a. Battle Pass

You can track your Alpha Season 6 progression through the Battle Pass. The Battle Pass consists of 35 levels, each unlocking an exclusive reward. Those who purchase a Premium Pass (formerly known as the Alpha Pass) will unlock premium rewards. The Battle Pass is therefore broken down into two tracks: Premium and Free. Premium Pass holders will also receive all free items.

Rewards this Alpha Season can be tracked on the Battle Pass tab on The Sandbox or by referencing the chart below.

2b. Ethos Points (EP)

As always, EP is the core progression currency in Alpha Seasons. You can earn EP in Alpha Season 6 through:

• Quests
• Collectibles 
• Transforming Cirque du Soleil Avatars 
• Avatar ownership
• Daily Social Challenges
• Spotlight Experiences
• Special actions like joining Discord or referring friends



Collecting EP remains important even after completing the Battle Pass: The SAND Pool Key reward at the end of the Battle Pass lets players enter a shared pool of 250K SAND, distributed based on your total EP. The higher your EP, the larger your share of the reward pool will be. (Visit the Rewards section for more.)

2c. Quests

All quests reward you with EP. This Season, there are three types of quests:

• Normal: There are hundreds of Normal Quests available. They’re identified by a Yellow marker. Each Normal Quest rewards 5 EP.
• Adventure: There are roughly 30 Adventure Quests in total, each rewarding 90 EP upon completion. Adventure Quests are marked with Blue exclamation points for easy identification.
• Hardcore: Hardcore Quests are more challenging than others, but each grants you 45 EP. If you are up for a challenge and want to test your skills, look out for the purple exclamation points. Keep in mind that the game is balanced in a way that does not require you to complete Hardcore Quests to earn rewards.

2d. Collectibles 

As mentioned above, Cirque du Soleil Avatars will be unique to Alpha Season 6 and will transform through specific gameplay actions. These Avatars will be fully playable, starting out as Mannequins before transforming into unique, Cirque du Soleil-inspired costumes!

Cirque du Soleil Mannequins:

• Fully playable Mannequin Avatars!
• Ten total (2 Common, 1 Uncommon, 2 Rare, 2 Epic, 3 Legendary)
• Permanently transform into Cirque du Soleil Costume Avatars via in-game actions.
• Transformation grants a significant EP reward.

How It Works 

Purchase Mannequins, complete quests, and watch them come to life as spectacular Costumed Avatars inspired by some of Cirque du Soleil's most famous shows. Collect all ten costumes and dominate Alpha Season 6 with EP boosts and exclusive perks.

Each of the 10 Cirque du Soleil Mannequins is a blank slate from Common to Legendary; they’re playable Avatars that can be turned into their final Avatar form (Costumes) by playing the Cirque du Soleil Experiences. Once transformed, these Avatars grant varying Ethos Points (EP) bonuses and unlock special perks in Alpha Season 6.

2e. Avatars

Avatar Owners earn weekly passive EP based on the highest rarity of the Avatars they own:

• Common = 10 EP
• Uncommon = 30 EP
• Rare = 65 EP
• Epic = 140 EP
• Legendary = 300 EP

For example:

• If you own one Common Avatar, one Rare, and one Epic, your highest Avatar rank is Epic, and you receive 140 EP per week
• If you own three Legendary Avatars, your highest Avatar rank is Legendary, and you receive 300 EP per week



The weekly bonus EP for Avatar ownership will be distributed every Tuesday at 2 p.m. UTC. Don’t own an Avatar? You can purchase one here and start earning! 

Special Collections

During the season, we will be releasing two new Avatar collections that will grant an additional one-time 200 EP per collection on top of the weekly Avatar EP boost. The first, the Casio G-Shock Collection, is already available.

2f. Jurassic World Multiplier 

Owning a Jurassic World Dinosaur unlocks a 5%–50% EP multiplier for your Cirque du Soleil Costumed Avatar, based on rarity. 

Example:

• You own one Common Adult Dinosaur and one Epic Adult Dinosaur.
• Together, they give you a 30% multiplier.  
• You buy and transform a Rare Mannequin, which normally grants 550 EP.
• With the multiplier, you earn an extra 165 EP, for a total of 715 EP.

The best part? The bonus is retroactive! If you’ve already transformed a Mannequin, you’ll automatically receive the EP boost once the Jurassic World Egg is transformed into an Adult Dinosaur. 

This multiplier (5% - 50%) applies to all future Season Transformation Collections, including the current Cirque du Soleil Avatars.  

2g. Bonus EP

While completing quests within Season Experiences is the primary way to collect EP, Alpha Season 6 also provides several other ways to gain bonus EP and level up even faster.

Spotlight Experiences

When a new Experience is released, it becomes the Spotlight Experience for its first 24 hours. Completing a quest in the Experience during this period will grant you a bonus of 20 EP. 

Social Challenge

Social Challenges will prompt you to visit a specific Experience, find a landmark, take a screenshot of your Avatar next to it, and post it to X (formerly Twitter). You will earn 15 additional EP for each Social Challenge you complete! 

To participate in the challenge, connect your X account to The Sandbox so you can easily post directly from the dashboard. 

Check back daily to complete Social Challenges and earn bonus EP to level up faster and gain more rewards!

Refer Friends

You can earn a bonus EP for inviting friends to play Alpha Season 6. For each KYC’d friend that completes level 10 in the Battle Pass, you will receive an extra 300 EP (up to a max of 10 friends). You can stack up to 3000 EP with the friend referral system, so invite your friends to play!

You can earn a bonus EP for joining our Discord and following our official X account. Each action will grant you 25 EP.

3. Alpha Season 6 Rewards

3a. The Premium SAND Pool 

In Alpha Season 6, we’re introducing the SAND Pool Key, your ticket to a massive 250,000 SAND shared pool.

You’ll find the SAND Pool Key as the final Premium reward at level 35 of the Battle Pass. Once you claim it, you’ll be eligible to receive a share of Alpha Season 6’s SAND pool based on the total number of Ethos Points (EP) you earn.

The more EP you rack up throughout the season, the larger your share of the prize.

How It Works:

• Finish the Battle Pass’s Premium track (Level 35) and receive the SAND Pool Key
• Every SAND Pool Key holder earns a slice of the 250,000 SAND pool
• Your share is weighted by how much EP you’ve earned compared to other SAND Pool Key holders

Let’s use some simple round numbers in a hypothetical scenario to illustrate how shares of the SAND pool will be determined:

You’ve earned 5,500 EP at the end of Alpha Season 6. We’ll use a round number and pretend there are 3,000 holders of the SAND Pool Key. If we add up the total of all EP held by all 3,000 SAND Pool Key holders, including your EP, let’s say it equals 15,300,000 EP.

Now, 5,500 is 0.036% of 15.3 million. And 0.036% of 250,000 (total SAND pool) is 90 SAND. Therefore, your share of the final SAND pool is 90 SAND! 

Remember, these are hypothetical numbers and figures. They serve an illustrative purpose only. Your percentage of the SAND pool will vary based on your EP and the number of SAND Pool Key holders. 

Even after finishing your Battle Pass, every quest, collectible, and transformation counts. Keep playing, keep exploring, and keep earning EP to maximize your SAND Pool rewards. 

3b. Premium Pass Owners

Premium Pass owners can earn up to 42 SAND by reaching level 35 of the Battle Pass. Rewards include: 

• 1 Common Cirque du Soleil Mannequin Avatar 
• 1 Common Jurassic World Dinosaur Egg
• 9 Partner Passes (each translating to a 4 SAND reward, 36 SAND total)
• 1 SAND Pool Key granting access to the 250,000 SAND pool at the end of Alpha Season 6
• 42 SAND total from Free and Premium rewards
• 19 Rare pieces of Equipment, including nine from the Free Battle Pass Track and 10 exclusively for Premium Pass holders
• 1 Memorabilia NFT

3c. LAND Owner Community Goal 

Owning LAND in The Sandbox allows you to create, customize, and monetize virtual experiences. As a LAND Owner, you gain access to exclusive opportunities, including potential revenue from in-game activity, collaborations with brands, and participation in the platform’s evolving ecosystem.

Additionally, LAND ownership enhances your influence within the ecosystem, allowing you to shape the future of The Sandbox by participating in the DAO while benefiting from the growing demand for digital real estate.

In Alpha Season 6, LAND Owners can also earn bonus rewards tied to the Ethos Points (EP) gained by The Sandbox community. As players accumulate EP, they contribute to the LAND Owner Community Goal, which unlocks four community milestones. Each milestone allows LAND Owners to claim a LAND Owner Hub Pass NFT, granting access to exclusive rooms in the Alpha Season 6 Hub. These NFT can be obtained by the LAND Owners if they have collected at least 1 EP during Alpha Season 6.

Each room holds a SAND Chest with 10 SAND, meaning LAND Owners can earn up to an additional 40 SAND throughout Alpha Season 6 if each milestone is met.
