Welcome to the Season 7 Guide

Running from February 25 for eight weeks, Season 7 features 32 unique Experiences from partner brands and creators. Players can earn from the 650,000 SAND rewards, unlock 17 new NFTs, and, with the Premium Pass, compete for the largest share of the 250,000 Bonus SAND pool.

Whether you’re new to The Sandbox or a returning Alpha player, this guide covers everything you need to know about Season 7.

1. Welcome to Season 7

1a. Play Season 7 everywhere!

Season 7 introduces a new way of playing The Sandbox: For the first time, Players can jump into select Experiences directly from a browser, without downloading the game client. This is a huge step toward accessibility, leading the platform the path to mobile (see The Sandbox 3.0) These WebGL-powered games are designed to be fun, fast, and highly replayable, making them an important part of your Season progression (more on that later). 

3 Experiences are now playable on mobile, letting you take The Sandbox with you and play Season 7 wherever you are!

1b. Retro versus Future

Season 7 takes players on a journey through time, where retro technology and future innovation collide. Explore nostalgic worlds inspired by early tech, then step into experiences shaped by AI and the technologies of tomorrow. With a wide variety of Experiences to discover and a Battle Pass to complete, this Season invites you to play, grind, and choose your path as you move between past and future.

1c. A Season powered by the Community

Season 7 reflects a promise made: The Sandbox is evolving into a Creator-driven ecosystem. More than 50 percent of this Season’s Experiences come directly from our community. These worlds were built through the Retro Game Jam and Future Game Jam launched in 2025, where Creators reimagined gaming’s past and designed bold visions of what comes next.

This is not side content. These Experiences are part of the core Season lineup. Players earn EP, complete quests, and progress through the Battle Pass inside worlds built by our Creators.

2. Season 7 Progression

2a. Battle Pass

You can track your Season 7 progression through the Battle Pass. The Battle Pass features 25 levels, each unlocking a reward as you play. It includes two tracks: a Free track available to all Players, and a Premium track unlocked with the Premium Pass.

Premium Pass holders earn all Free rewards in addition to Premium-exclusive items. You can follow your progress at any time in the Battle Pass tab on The Sandbox website, or by checking the chart below.

2b. Ethos Points (EP)

To advance in your Battle pass, you need to accumulate Ethos Points (EP). As always, EP is the core progression currency in Seasons. You can earn EP in Season 7 through:

• Quests & Daily Games
• Collectibles 
• Avatar ownership
• LAND Auctions
• Social Challenges
• Spotlight Experiences
• Special actions like joining Discord or referring friends

Collecting EP remains important even after completing the Battle Pass: The SAND Pool Key reward at the end of the Battle Pass lets players enter a shared pool of 250,000 SAND, distributed based on your total EP. The higher your EP, the larger your share of the reward pool will be. (Visit the Rewards section for more.)

2c. Quests & Daily Games

Quests

All quests reward you with EP. This Season, there is only one type of quest, and each quest rewards 5 EP. Quests are identified by a yellow marker, making them easy to spot as you explore.

You can earn up to 2,000 EP by completing the Season 7 Experiences. Track your total EP anytime on the Summary page of the Season Dashboard.

Daily Games

Daily Games are a brand-new source of EP. Each game grants 30 EP upon completion, and you can complete all three games every day.

Complete the special objective in each game to earn an additional 20 bonus EP. That’s up to 150 EP per day just from Daily Games.

Sky Race

• Main Mission: Finish the race
• Bonus Mission: Gather all 50 Voxelites

Cake Slap

• Main Mission: Reach 50 points
• Bonus Mission: Collect 5 Golden Buckets

Duel Bliz

• Main Mission: Get 10 points
• Bonus Mission: Win 5 1v1 matches

Don’t sleep on this new source of EP. With up to 150 EP per day, dedicated players can complete their Battle Pass just by playing Daily Games.

2d. Collectibles 

In Season 7, Collectibles play a central role in progression. Blueprints can be earned through the Battle Pass or acquired during the Season, then transformed in the Hub. Each transformation grants Ethos Points (EP), with the amount based on the Blueprint’s rarity.

Collecting and transforming all Blueprints completes a full set. As you progress, your choices determine the outcome of each transformation, shaping the set into either a Retro or Future version.

Season 7 Blueprints:

• Permanently transforms into a piece of equipment via in game action.
• Two types of equipment sets are available for purchase each can be transformed into 2 versions.
• Your in game choices will shape the outcome of the transformation.
• 10 total (2 Common, 1 Uncommon, 2 Rare, 2 Epic, 3 Legendary).
• Transformation grants a significant EP reward.

How It Works 

Purchase a Blueprint, complete quests, and watch them come to life as part of an epic equipment Set. Collect all parts of the armor and dominate Season 7 with EP boosts and exclusive perks.

Each of the 10 of the Season 7 Blueprint is a blank slate from Common to Legendary; they are NFT that can be turned into their final form by playing the Season 7 Hub and the Season 7 transformation quest. In the Hub, your choices during the main quest can impact the transformation of your NFTs: will you choose the path of nostalgia and transform your set into a retro armor, or will you choose the innovation and leap toward the future armor? Only your actions can decide the outcome of your costume. Once transformed, these equipment grant varying Ethos Points (EP) bonuses and unlock special perks in Season 7.

2e. Avatars

Avatar Owners earn weekly passive EP based on the highest rarity of the Avatars they own:

• Common = 10 EP
• Uncommon = 30 EP
• Rare = 65 EP
• Epic = 140 EP
• Legendary = 300 EP

For example:

If you own one Common Avatar, one Rare, and one Epic, your highest Avatar rank is Epic, and you receive 140 EP per week

If you own three Legendary Avatars, your highest Avatar rank is Legendary, and you receive 300 EP per week

The weekly bonus EP for Avatar ownership will be distributed every Tuesday at 2 p.m. UTC. Don’t own an Avatar? You can purchase one here and start earning! 

Special Collections

During the season, we will be releasing two new Avatar collections that will grant an additional one-time 200 EP per collection on top of the weekly Avatar EP boost. Stay tuned to discover the Season collections!

2g. LAND Drops

Want to win big this Season? Take part in the weekly LAND Drops. Each week, 40–60 The Sandbox LANDs will be listed for auction on GBM. Every auction runs for 7 days, giving you plenty of time to place your bids. Winners of each LAND auction will receive 5,000 EP. There will be 7 waves in total, with the first LAND auction starting on February 25 at 2PM UTC.

Get ready to bid, secure your LAND, and boost your EP in a big way.

2h. Bonus EP

While completing quests & daily games within Season Experiences is the primary way to collect EP, Season 7 also provides several other ways to gain bonus EP and level up even faster.

Spotlight Experiences

When a new Experience is released, it becomes the Spotlight Experience for its first 24 hours. Completing a quest in the Experience during this period will grant you a bonus of 20 EP. 

Social Challenge

Social Challenges will prompt you to visit a specific Experience, find a landmark, take a screenshot of your Avatar next to it, and post it to X (formerly Twitter). You will earn 15 additional EP for each Social Challenge you complete! 

To participate in the challenge, connect your X account to The Sandbox so you can easily post directly from the dashboard. 

Check back daily to complete Social Challenges and earn bonus EP to level up faster and gain more rewards!

Refer Friends

You can earn a bonus EP for inviting friends to play Season 7. For each KYC’d friend that completes level 10 in the Battle Pass, you will receive an extra 300 EP (up to a max of 10 friends). You can stack up to 3000 EP with the friend referral system, so invite your friends to play!

You can find your unique referral link on the Summary page of the Season 7 dashboard.

You can earn a bonus EP for joining our Discord and following our official X account. Each action will grant you 25 EP.

3. Season 7 Rewards

3a. The Premium SAND Pool 

In Season 7, we’re bringing back the SAND Pool Key, your ticket to a massive 250,000 SAND shared pool. You’ll find the SAND Pool Key as the final Premium reward at level 25 of the Battle Pass. Once you claim it, you’ll be eligible to receive a share of Season 7’s Bonus SAND pool based on the total number of Ethos Points (EP) you earn.

The more EP you rack up throughout the season, the larger your share of the prize.

How It Works:

• Finish the Battle Pass’s Premium track (Level 25) and receive the Bonus SAND Pool Key
• Every SAND Pool Key holder earns a slice of the 250,000 Bonus SAND pool
• Your share is weighted by how much EP you’ve earned compared to other SAND Pool Key holders

Let’s use some simple round numbers in a hypothetical scenario to illustrate how shares of the SAND pool will be determined:

You’ve earned 8,200 EP at the end of Season 7. We’ll use a round number and pretend there are 3,000 holders of the SAND Pool Key (including you). If we add up the total of all EPs held by all 3,000 SAND Pool Key holders, including your EP, let’s say it equals 15,300,000 EP.Now, 8,200 is 0.053% of 15.3 million. And 0.053% of 100,000 (total SAND pool) is 53. 

Therefore, your share of the final SAND pool is 53 SAND!

Even after finishing your Battle Pass, every quest, collectible, and transformation counts. Keep playing, keep exploring, and keep earning EP to maximize your SAND Pool rewards. 

3b. Premium Pass Owners

Premium Pass owners can earn up to 66 SAND by reaching level 25 of the Battle Pass. Rewards include: 

• 1 Common Blueprint for a Head Equipment  
• 66 SAND total including the Free Rewards
• 1 SAND Pool Key granting access to the 250,000 Bonus SAND pool at the end of Season 7
• 10 Rare pieces of Equipment
• 1 Memorabilia NFT

3c. LAND Owner Community Goal 

In Season 7, LAND Owners can earn bonus rewards tied to the Ethos Points (EP) gained by The Sandbox community. As players accumulate EP, they contribute to the LAND Owner Community Goal, which unlocks eight community milestones. Each milestone allows LAND Owners to claim either 10 SAND or an exclusive NFT.

LAND Owners can earn up to an additional 40 SAND throughout Season 7 if each milestone is met. If you haven’t already, it’s the perfect time to get your first LAND! 

3d. Free Battle Pass Rewards

There’s no purchase necessary to earn rewards in Season 7! Here’s what you can earn without dropping a dime:

• 6 SAND from the Free Battle Pass track
• 10 Equipment NFTs
• 1 Memorabilia
